No images? Click here BIENNALE DI SENIGALLIAWe are delighted to announce a grand celebration of music, light, and photography for the next Biennale of Senigallia, 19–22 June 2026. The collector’s fair, the conference, and artist talks will take place during the weekend of the Festa de la Musica and the summer solstice, creating a unique moment to celebrate art, nature, and creativity. This event is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Senigallia as part of the “Senigallia City of Photography” project. The days are delightful and the beach is inviting in June. “I saw Mr Daguerre. Mr Hubert’s article tipped him off; he didn’t retract anything; on the contrary, he told me that next year he’d be showing his results. He claims to go as far as an instant portrait! He added a few other details that I’ll be happy to tell Mr Hubert. Yours… Charles Farcy, September 16” (1836). Charles François Farcy (1792–1867) was an art critic who founded the Journal des Artistes in 1827 and directed it until 1841. He published the article by Hubert, with whom he had an editor–author relationship. Refers to the article published by M. Hubert in the Journal des artistes of September 11 1836 “M. Daguerre, la chambre noire et les dessins qui se font tout seuls”.
